Spyware Doctor is an anti spyware program designed to scan for and remove spyware from your computer. The most recent edition, Spyware Doctor 3.1 , is available for free trial download from its publisher, PC Tools, at www.pctools.com.

According to PC Tools , Spyware Doctor 3.1 is an advanced adware and spyware removal utility that detects and cleans thousands of potential malware programs from your computer. These include; Trojan horses, keyloggers, cookies, spybots, trackware, spyware and adware programs.

Users gave Spyware Doctor 3.1 three and a half stars on a scale of five, reports CNET, an online consumer reports site for the tech-savvy. CNET editors gave it five stars, and describe the program as having a user-friendly design. CNET also found that Spyware Doctor 3.1 scans faster than the competition, and offers a Quick Scan that focuses on areas like IE cache files, which are known to be spyware hot spots. The program then easily and efficiently removes whatever spyware threats it finds.

Users applaud the Spyware Doctor program for its spyware detection and removal, but found fault because the software does not automatically update its protection. The free trial version will only scan your computer and not actually remove any spyware it finds. The full version is available for $29.95 for a one-year subscription.
