What MBA courses are there in Europe ?

We talk a lot on this site about the business schools in the USA and in the UK , but the MBA is a truly international qualification and there are business schools in many countries in the developed world. Europe is of course a part of the developed world, and there are business schools in and around the major business centers of most European countries. The business schools that we are going to talk about on this page are those which are accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) which is a mark of a certain quality.

Foreign country does not mean foreign language. The language of international business is English, which is why English is the language of MBA courses. The communication and instruction on the best MBA courses will be English. However, in some regional programmes there could be some other languages added to English. Students who want to get the most out of their MBA courses need to make sure that they have a good grasp of English, even if the MBA course they are on is in their own country. To succeed on an MBA program you will need to be able to read, write and speak good English. This is why not only do you have to take the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) but also the TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language) if you are an international applicant.

The most prominent European MBA business schools are those accredited by AMBA.

Starting in southern Europe, there is the Graduate School of Management, SDA Bocconi, which is in Milan , Italy .

In Spain there are three major schools. IESE and ESADE - Graduate School of Business are both in Barcelona . The Instituto de Empresa is in Madrid .

Switzerland has the International Institute for Management Devekopment (IMD) in Lausanne .

In France there is EM Lyon and THESEUS Interanational Management Institute (Nice) which are both in the south of the country. In Paris there is HEC School of Management, the Ecole National des Ponts et Chaussees, Institut d-Etudes Politiques de Paris and the world famous INSEAD.

ESCP-EAP - European School of Management is a unique courses delivered in Madrid , Paris , Berlin and Oxford .

Belgium has the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School whilst Holland has four accredited schools in the Haarlem Business School , NIMBAS Graduate School of Management, Universieit Nyenrode and the Erasmus Graduate School in Rotterdam .

The School of Business Studies , Trinity College , gives you a good MBA in Dublin , Ireland , and there is also the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland

Finally for AMBA accredited schools in Europe - there are two business schools - The Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics and the Academy of National Economy , both in Moscow.
